The HEEALS NGO volunteer program is open to motivated individuals who wish to have a meaningful experience of cultural exchange, international volunteering, and personal growth in India.
It is particularly suitable for students, young professionals, international volunteers and responsible travellers interested in learning about new cultures and contributing to social initiatives that benefit local communities.
Participants should meet the following requirements:
Be at least 18 years old.
Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
Open-mindedness and respect for different cultures.
Initiative and adaptability.
✈️ Desire to travel, discover the world and live new experiences.
Interest in international cooperation, volunteering, and social issues.
❤️ Strong motivation to contribute positively to the development of local communities.
No previous volunteer experience is required. However, enthusiasm, respect for the local culture, and a desire to learn are essential qualities to fully enjoy this experience.
By participating in the HEEALS NGO program in Gurgaon and Rishikesh , volunteers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Indian culture, collaborate on community development projects, and build meaningful international relationships.
The program includes 22 days in Gurgaon , dedicated to social development activities and community engagement, followed by 08 days in Rishikesh , one of the world's yoga capitals, for an experience of spiritual journey, yoga, meditation and discovery of India's rich cultural tradition.

This 30-day international volunteer program offers participants the opportunity to contribute to community development initiatives in Gurgaon , while experiencing the transformative power of yoga and meditation in Rishikesh , known worldwide as the “Yoga Capital of the World . ”
Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in social development projects, explore India's rich cultural heritage, connect with local communities, and embark on a journey of personal growth, intercultural learning, and self-discovery.

From Monday to Friday
Saturdays, Sundays and Indian national holidays are free days.
(Applicable to the Gurgaon phase of the program.)
From 10:00 to 14:00 , with a one-hour lunch break.
The schedule is flexible and can vary based on project needs and activity availability.

Approximately 30–40% of the time will be spent on field visits to schools, villages, local communities and disadvantaged areas.
The remaining 60–70% will be carried out at the project office, collaborating on coordination, communication, documentation, and initiative development activities.
The distribution of activities may vary according to the needs of the project.
Dress code: Informal, decent, and respectful of the local cultural context.
To offer volunteers an immersive experience in India's rich cultural diversity, traditions, and community realities, promoting intercultural understanding, empathy, global citizenship, and cross-cultural dialogue.
This program offers a unique opportunity to combine volunteering, cultural immersion, wellness practices, and spiritual discovery in two of India's most dynamic and captivating destinations.
By participating in this experience, volunteers will help promote positive social change, discover India's rich traditions, develop valuable skills, build international friendships, and embark on a transformative journey of learning, service, and personal growth.
Through direct contact with local communities, the practice of yoga and meditation, and immersion in authentic Indian culture, participants will have a meaningful experience that will leave a lasting impact on both their personal lives and their academic and professional careers.

During the first 22 days , volunteers will work in Gurgaon , collaborating on social development initiatives that address real challenges of local communities and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .
Participants will be able to choose one or two main project areas , based on their interests, educational background or professional goals.

In addition to their chosen project, volunteers will also have the opportunity to contribute to the following activities:

Organization of community events, awareness-raising activities and fundraising campaigns to support the PAD 4 GIRLS and Skill Development programs .
Throughout the program, volunteers will take part in activities that will allow them to deepen their understanding of Indian society, its traditions, and its extraordinary cultural richness.
Interactive workshops dedicated to India's history, traditions, languages, religions, and contemporary society.
Insights into cultural diversity, holidays, family structures, and social values.
Intercultural dialogue activities, sharing experiences and narrating cultural traditions ( cultural storytelling ).
Visits to villages, schools, local markets, community centers, temples, and social development projects.
Meetings and opportunities for discussion with members of local communities and grassroots organizations .
Participation in educational activities and awareness campaigns aimed at the community.
Collaboration with local youth groups and students.
Cultural presentations, intercultural dialogue sessions, and international exchange events.
Sharing traditions, experiences, and perspectives from different cultures.
Opportunity to experience Indian festivals, traditional ceremonies, folk music, local crafts, and cultural performances firsthand.

After completing the volunteering period in Gurgaon , participants will move to Rishikesh , located at the foot of the Himalayas and internationally recognized as the World Yoga Capital , as well as one of the most important centers dedicated to spirituality, meditation and holistic well-being.
This 8-day retreat is designed to promote physical and mental well-being, inner awareness, and an authentic journey of personal growth and transformation.
Learn traditional yoga practices under the guidance of qualified and experienced teachers.
Practices dedicated to developing awareness, concentration, inner balance, and mental serenity.
An in-depth exploration of the principles of yoga, self-discipline, and holistic well-being, with a focus on the harmony of body, mind, and spirit.
Participate in the evocative evening ceremony of the Ganga Aarti , celebrated on the banks of the sacred Ganges River, one of India's most iconic spiritual rituals.
Discover the tranquility, breathtaking scenery and extraordinary natural beauty of Rishikesh and the surrounding Himalayan mountains.
Sharing experiences, engaging in intercultural dialogue, and engaging in meaningful encounters with international volunteers, yoga teachers, and local practitioners fosters mutual understanding and personal growth.
